The Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder take their entertaining Western Conference semifinal series, knotted at 1-1, to Staples Center Friday night for Game 3. Watch the game live on TSN2 and TSN GO at 10:30pm et/7:30pm pt. The Thunder, perhaps strengthened by the pregame MVP presentation to Kevin Durant Wednesday night, evened the series with a 112-101 victory in Game 2 at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Durant led the way with 32 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists for a near triple-double. Russell Westbrook did enough for his fourth postseason triple- double thanks to 31 points, 10 boards and 10 helpers. "We set the bar high for ourselves," Durant said. "We have a high standard that we try to reach. We work extremely hard. One thing about Russ, he demands so much out of everybody and brings the level of the team up with his intensity and his effort." What was absent in the Thunders 17-point loss at home on Monday was found in evening the series as role players like Thabo Sefolosha, Serge Ibaka and Kendrick Perkins all provided solid production. Sefolosha scored 12 of his 14 points in a momentum-building third quarter. The defensive specialist, who scored just 17 points in the first round against Memphis and didnt play a minute in Games 6 and 7, scored on back-to-back possessions to cap a 10-2 run in the third that stretched Oklahoma Citys lead to 78-66 midway through the period. Sefolosha then ignited an 11-0 flurry minutes later with a 3-pointer. Ibaka netted 14 with seven rebounds and Perkins pulled down nine boards for a frontcourt that helped Oklahoma City to a 52-36 edge on the glass. But now the series shifts to Staples Center. OKC split two meetings in LA this season with the Clippers and is 3-1 in its last four as the visitor in this matchup. "We have to do the same thing in Los Angeles," OKC coach Scott Brooks said on Thursday. "We know how theyre feeling. After you lose, you want to come back and redeem (yourself) and play much better. We have to come out with the same mindset, same approach and same determination that we had last game." Chris Paul finished with 17 points and 11 assists to lead the Clippers but was far from the otherworldly force he was in the opener. J.J. Redick scored a team-high 18 points but had just two after halftime, and Blake Griffin, who finished third in the MVP voting, shot just 5-of-13 from the field for 15 points. The Clippers only made a third of their 3-point attempts (9-of-27) after connecting on 15-of-29 from long range in their homecourt-stealing Game 1 victory. "They were the more physical team," Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said. "I dont think we were very tough mentally tonight." Perhaps the Clippers can gain some momentum themselves from a player winning an award. On Thursday, Jamal Crawford was named the Sixth Man of the Year for the second time in his career. "Theres so many people that helped out with this," said Crawford. "My teammates, my coaching staff, I hope we can all share it." Game 4 will be Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles. Roma has a game in hand but now second place is even at risk for the capital side as Napoli moved to within three points with the win. "The result is not always fair," Roma coach Rudi Garcia said. The Professional Referee Organization, which manages game officials for the U.S. Soccer Federation and MLS, notified the Professional Soccer Referee Association of the lockout and said replacement officials will be used. James scored 32 points, Wade added 22 points and eight assists, and the Heat trailed by 11 early in the second half before running away to a 107-88 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. Foye scored 24 of his 30 points in the last 24 minutes, going 7 for 7 from the field in the third quarter, and the Denver Nuggets hung on to beat the Houston Rockets 123-116 on Wednesday night. Kenneth Faried had 23 points and Timofey Mozgov added 22 for the Nuggets, who beat the Rockets for the first time in three tries this season. Foye also had 15 assists, 11 of them coming in the first half. "I just think it was a Karma thing, where in the beginning, I had some shots where I could have come off (pick-and-rolls) and pulled up, but I passed it to Kenneth, passed it to Timo, got those guys going," Foye said. "That kind of opened everything up. When I was coming off pick-and-rolls later, they were so concerned with our bigs that I was coming off and knocking them down." Houston coach Kevin McHale said the Rockets have to play stronger defensively. "Our defence is bad," he said. "Faried and Mozgov were just running down the floor, posting us up and throwing us out of the way. We had no answers for them. In the third quarter, we got them somewhat under control and then Foye went crazy." Jeremy Lin led eight Houston players in double figures with 18 points. Both teams were missing key players heading into the game and the Rockets got a scare when James Harden, leading a fast break, banged his left shin in a collision with Aaron Brooks midway through the third quarter. Fouled on the play, Harden made both free throws and left the game briefly to have the leg tended to before returning to action, though he only played sparingly aafter the injury.dddddddddddd "I guess I got kneed in the shin but it was pretty painful. For a couple of seconds, my leg was numb," Harden said. In the post-season, Harden said he would have finished the game. "But today was kind of pointless. Four more games left and were trying to stay (in the No. 4 playoff seed)," Harden said. Houstons Dwight Howard, bothered by a left ankle sprain, did not play for the 10th time in the last 12 games. Denver was without Wilson Chandler (left groin strain) and Ty Lawson (left ankle sprain). Trailing by 10 at the half, Houston pulled to 94-86 on a jumper by Chandler Parsons late in the third quarter. Foye, though, hit a long jumper, starting an 11-2 run over a 2 1/2-minute stretch that put Denver in front 105-88 heading into the fourth quarter. Houston made a late push, getting within 118-114 on a 3-pointer by Troy Daniels and a tip-in by Isaiah Canaan with 2:24 left to play. But Foye banked in a jumper and Evan Fournier connected on a 3-pointer in successive Denver possessions to fend off the Rockets rally. The Rockets, trailing by as many as 19 points earlier in the game, put together an 8-0 burst to cut the deficit to 58-53 with 1:44 left in the second quarter. Lin and Parsons each had 3-pointers in the stretch. Faried responded by converting a three-point play, helping Denver rebuild its lead to 68-58 at halftime. NOTES: The Rockets are 8-19 when trailing at halftime. ... Houston, which beat the Lakers in Los Angeles on Tuesday, fell to 5-4 in the second game of back-to-backs this season. ... Foye scored 30 or more points for the second time this season. He had a season-high 33 on Jan. 29 against Charlotte. ' ' '
